Complex income should not be collapsed into one borrower-stated total. Each source needs its own history, documents, conflicts, and policy treatment before it can become accepted mortgage income.
Break income into sources
Base pay, overtime, bonus, commissions, multiple jobs, Schedule C income, and ownership income can have different histories and documentation requirements.
The AI should identify the sources and uncertainties rather than silently adding every number together.
Ground judgment in evidence
Prosperite's income packet exposes current income records, documents, fact evidence, missing support, conflicts, and accepted-basis status.
The AI can explain what appears supported, but included sources must reference packet evidence and document IDs before backend acceptance can succeed.
- Source and income type
- History and frequency
- Evidence and document IDs
- Missing periods or conflicts
- MLO-review boundary
Acceptance is a separate action
Documents do not auto-create income truth. The accepted-income owner validates provenance, evidence, blockers, and review requirements before writing through the borrower-file command path.
Prequalification and application readiness then consume accepted income rather than casual chat totals.
Common follow-up questions
Can gross business revenue be used as my income?
Not automatically. Business revenue is different from qualifying personal income and requires document and policy analysis.
Can income from two jobs be combined?
Potentially, but each source needs the required history and support before it can be accepted.
